This exhibition came about through 'Open Submission'.
This is where artists are invited to submit their works for appraisal by the curators here at the gallery. Some artists may make the first selection, but not the second, sometimes because of hanging problems in this space. Not all artists will make the 'final cut'.
This year the resulting exhibition is fantastic. It has some wonderful work from artists who have real rigor behind their images. There is painting, sculpture, drawing, ceramics, and also this year sculptural jewellery.
Come and see the work for yourself. I understand that not everyone wants to, or is able to buy art works, but they are certainly worth a visit to look at. Browsers are very welcome!
Our opening hours are 11am- 4pm everyday EXCEPT MONDAYS and THURSDAYS.
